🇮🇪🇬🇧 Miss Voluptuous United Kingdom 🇬🇧🇮🇪 Why I choose my phenomenal pageant, and choose to compete for the Ms England & Ireland title or UK in July 2022? 🎉👸🏽

Now a little about why I choose @missvoluptuouspageants. After facing recurring pitafalls of life prior to 2020. I looked for many ways to regain focus, self-esteem and confidence in myself. This was the year I lost 30kg and felt alive again, then I hit a very dark place again, although I had many achievements to celebrate around the time. I gained weight again, and felt I lost my confidence and had heightened anxiety, and suffered with imposter syndrome (self-doubt). I realised the happiness wasn’t actually my weight loss, it was to be found within. I would be told I was beautiful all the time, I felt people were only trying to be polite.

My self-belief grew when I found Miss Voluptuous UK, a pageant system like no other. A Sisterhood and empowerment program. The Miss voluptuous brand celebrates inspirational Plus Sized Women (size >14+) from a range of backgrounds all across the world!🌎 exceeding the standard stigma about beauty pageants, being just about external beauty. It embraces beauty from within, and crown queens who aim to make real differences! As part of being a finalist the pageant empowers us women to believe in ourself, and each other in addition to help and support our local communities through a variety of charitable activities.

I dreamt of being in a beauty pageant, as a little girl. However, I didn’t see many people of colour (for example many years ago people of colour were barred from contests for decades). I never saw anyone plus-sized neither, I’m elated to be part of an era of progress and inclusivity. This year, I get to finally live that dream! Thanks to my amazing Director Natalie Charley 😍❤️🌹and Miss Voluptuous sisters 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️
